My Philosophy

Art Education is a vital part of a students’ learning experience, shaping not only academic skills but social, emotional and creative development. My classroom is a nurturing environment where young children can thrive through hands-on experiences and opportunities to explore. A good classroom encourages wonder, supports diverse learning styles, and provides consistent routines that help students feel secure and confident.

When students are given time, space and open-ended materials this fosters a space for them to problem solve, collaborate, self-express, and use their imagination.

A strong art education classroom prioritizes inclusive practices, equity, and culturally responsive teaching. All students deserve to feel valued, seen, and heard within my classroom.
